Store Finder Preparation Instructions
On the Stovetop
Place ham steak in skillet or griddle on medium heat until heated through. Time may vary, but this usually takes approximately two minutes per side.
In the Microwave
Place ham steak on a microwave-safe plate, cover with paper towel, cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute, depending on microwave power.
On the Grill
Place ham steak over white ash charcoal fire or medium high gas grill setting, turn frequently, and cook until heated through.

I normally buy Walmart brand Great Value sliced ham because it is very flavorful but they have been out of stock the last 2 times so we subbed Frick’s sliced ham instead. Honestly the ham really has almost no flavor at all. The smoke taste is non-existent. I have never had Frick’s before this but will probably just opt of instead of subbing something that no one in our family really likes.

We’re sorry our boneless ham steak was not to your liking. It should not be bland, but have a nice balance of smoky flavor – enough that you can taste the smoke but not be overwhelmed by it. We’d love to hear more about your experience, and in particular what the USE/FREEZE by dates were on the packages if you know them, because that will tell us what batch or batches the ham steaks came from so we can investigate further. Fricks boneless ham steaks are the only ham steaks I will buy. I have tried others but they lack the quality and superior taste of Fricks. I am disappointed when the Walmart I shop at is out of stock, which is currently the case, but I refuse to buy another brand no matter how much I want ham! I have been buying the ham steaks for years. It is like a staple I pick up at the store and have 3 or 4 times in a month. It is the best ever. It is tender and lean and delicious. We have it at dinner or breakfast and makes a great sandwich too! Thank you!
